Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Letoria (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Letoria is a word game in which players form words by swiping across letters. The App offers:

  • Live rounds, where everyone plays the same letter board against the clock
  • Crossword levels and a daily puzzle
  • Daily, weekly and monthly rankings
  • Streaks, achievements and progress that syncs across devices
  • Dictionaries in 16 languages
  • Optional in-app purchases: gem packs and the Letoria Pro subscription

Some features require an internet connection.

User Accounts

Guest Play and Sign-In

You can play as a guest or sign in with Google or Apple. Guest progress and gems are tied to your device; if you delete the App or lose your device before signing in, they may be lost. Signing in keeps them safe and lets you play on other devices. Your account can be active on one device at a time.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time in the App's settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress and gem balance and does not cancel a subscription. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Gems and Virtual Items

Gems are the App's virtual currency. You can earn them by playing, receive a free daily gift, or buy gem packs. Gems can be used in the App for items such as hints, streak freezes and streak repairs.

  • Gems and the items they buy are a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use within the App. You do not own them.
  • They have no real-money value and cannot be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred to another player.
  • Purchased gems are added to your account once the store confirms the payment. A pending payment is credited when it clears.
  • If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the gems from it are removed from your balance, which may then go below zero until you earn more.
  • Gems are lost when you delete your account.
  • We may change gem prices, how many gems items cost, and what gems can be used for, to keep the game balanced.

Letoria Pro Subscription

Letoria Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription offered with weekly, monthly or annual billing. Its current benefits and prices are shown in the App before you buy. We may change Pro benefits over time.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App or your account does not cancel it.
  • If the price changes, the store will notify you as its rules require.

Payments and Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.

Live Rounds, Rankings and Fair Play

Ranking positions are based on your scores in the App. We may remove scores, reset progress or remove gems that result from cheating, exploiting bugs or other violations of these Terms.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use cheats, bots, exploits or unauthorized modifications
  • Choose an offensive, hateful or misleading display name, or abuse other players through reactions or salutes

We may change or remove display names that break these rules.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, gameplay, audio, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

App Stores

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies. Your use of the App must also comply with the terms of the store you got it from.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the new version on this page and notify users of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
